Welcome to the third part of our Microsoft Office Outlook training course. Outlook is Microsoft’s powerful and easy-to-use personal information management program.
This course is intended to help all users get up to speed on the different features of Outlook and to become familiar with its more advanced selection of features.
By the end of this course users should be comfortable in configuring advanced message options, using advanced message management options, managing activities using tasks, editing electronic business cards, sharing your workspaces with others, managing Outlook data files, and managing e-mail security.

Module 1: Advanced Message Management
As you continue to use Outlook, your mailbox will grow to include more and more messages. To help you find what you need, Outlook provides you with several sorting tools that you can use. Over the course of this topic, you will learn about these tools.
Module 2: Managing Your Calendar
The Calendar workspace provides you with a complete calendar as well as scheduling tools to help you schedule and view upcoming appointments and events. Over the course of this lesson, you will learn about the calendar in Outlook and the various ways that you can view it.
Module 3: Advanced calendar and task management
To configure your calendar to suit your own unique workflow and needs, you have access to many different advanced calendar options. Over the course of this topic, you will learn about these options and how to use them.
Module 4: Advanced contact management
To help configure and maintain your contacts, Outlook has provided you with a variety of advanced contact options. Over the course of this topic, you will learn all about electronic business cards and managing advanced contact options. You will also learn how to create and manage contact groups.
Module 5: Sharing workspaces with others
An often forgotten Outlook feature is the ability to delegate access to your mail folders to other people if you are using a Microsoft Exchange e-mail account. During this topic you will learn how to delegate access to your mail folders and how to share your calendar and contacts.
Module 6: Managing Outlook Data Files
Outlook data files save copies of individual Outlook items in a single file. Over the course of this topic you will learn how to back up Outlook items using Outlook data files.
Module 7: Managing E-mail Security
It is important to remember that e-mail is inherently insecure. Due to its design and protocols, e-mail is not protected while in transit from one e-mail address to another. However, Outlook does provide support for encryption, digital signatures, and other features that can help protect your data. During this topic, you will learn about some of the e-mail message security settings that Outlook has to offer.
